In 1988 Hidehiko Yamane, a top designer and tailor created a connoisseur’s cult product under the brand name Evisu easily identified by his famous and striking sweeping seagull logo.

Hidehiko Yamane founded the japanese brand Evisu in 1991. He wanted to make some vintage jeans that were not mass produced.

His first collection consisted on 14 pairs of hand-painted jeans with the famous seagull logo by Yamane-san himself.

Every pair of Evisu jeans is numbered, and personally signed by Kanji, the only person authorised in Europe  by Evisu to apply hand painted designs.
