Hidehiko Yamane founded the japanese brand Evisu in 1991. He wanted to make some vintage jeans that were not mass produced. His first collection consisted on 14 pairs of hand-painted jeans with the famous seagull logo by Yamane-san himself.
Every pair of Evisu jeans is numbered, and personally signed by Kanji, the only person authorised in Europe by Evisu to apply hand painted designs.
